San Miguel Chicaj - Female
 Daily

Her skirt is tie-dyed orange, yellow and green.  It is obvious that she wants to avoid red and blue.  Her blouse is woven in a zigzag pattern. She carries a second blouse that covers her head and falls all the way to her feet.

Language: Achí               Department: Baja Verapaz

Chicaj, means "in heaven," and the people there believe that Saint Michael came down to them.  The villagers are excellent potters and good painters. They usually use yellow, red and black to paint their pots. With hills full of Pine and Oak, the men make pack and riding saddles.
