She is taller than most indigenous women.  Her elegance is accented by a beautifully woven blouse and a dark skirt.  The rainbow of colors is interrupted by a simple white collar introduced by the Spanish influence. She like the men wears a shallow hat with a strip of color, and sturdy sandals.

Once a year on November 1, the town has a unique celebration. The men in the town gather for a horse race.  Unlike most races this one is a never ending race.  The men tie themselves to the saddle and begin to ride. With every lap they must stop to take a drink of homemade liquor.  The race continues at top speeds until only one man is still in his saddle.
