The women of Almolonga wear a solid black skirt. The pattern on their blouse changes about midway down.  The patterns resemble the patchwork field surround the village.

Almolonga, "The place where water springs," is a paradise for growing vegetables year round.  Sitting at the foot of the Cerro Quemado Volcano they enjoy richly fertile soil. These villagers are capitalist, very business minded. In recent years it has become highly converted to Christianity.
