Although the men usually don't wear this outfit, you still may see at special events. Shirts are woven with a zigzag pattern with a red stripe on the shoulder.  Their pants are woven from scraps, folded over in the front and held with a colorful sash.

Almolonga, "The place where water springs," is a paradise for growing vegetables year round.  Sitting at the foot of the Cerro Quemado Volcano they enjoy richly fertile soil. These villagers are capitalist, very business minded. In recent years it has become highly converted to Christianity.
