The deep blue waters of Lake Atitlán rests in a basin surrounded by volcanoes.
Said to be the most beautiful lake in the world is not the easiest to live on. There is very little level ground for farming. On the steep edges around the lake small villages try to etch out a living. Each village has developed a particular skill or industry they can trade for food with other villages.
