Sololá - Female
 Ceremonial

The ladies in this village serve in the same "Cofraides" as their husbands. They are usually descendants of old nobility.  The long blouse is exquisitely woven. They have the finest belts and head ribbons. Their outfits include shawls and jewelry.  Their hands are kissed when greeted by ordinary men and women.

Language: Cakchiquel     Department: Sololá

Solola clings to the top of ridge overlooking the beautiful Lake Atitlán.  As a crossroads there is a constant hustle of buses and vehicles. A windy, but spectacular view of volcanoes can be seen easily from the town.
