The skirt is mostly red and yellow wound around. After weaving it, tiny bright silk and cotton birds are embroidered in vertical lines. The blouse is a loose fitting white blouse with is brocaded around the neck and shoulders.

One time an outlying village of Colotenango, now it is a self standing village. The week before Easter the village reenacts the events leading up to the crucifixion including the hanging of Judas.  Although the idea isn't to kill the guy playing Judas, accidents have happened.
